2009 H1N1 Pandemic Policy Revisions

Montclair Hospital medical Center takes the health risk associated with the H1N1 flue very seriously and we recognize the need to manage these risks in a serious and dedicated manner.  Due to the severity of the H1N1 flue and its potential to spread to patients, children and expectant mothers, we will have the right to change our hospital visiting policy.  this policy will be in effect during the height of the flue season, usually lasting until spring and well be re-evaluated at that time.
  1. If you are sick and have a cold, cough or fever, we request that you please come back when you’re feeling better to visit your loved one.
  2. Effective November 2, 2009 Visitors under the age of 18 will not be allowed in the hospital.  This is for the protection of the patients and to help prevent the spread of the flu.  Patient safety is our priority.
